Fleet Operations Supervisor

Role Overview

• Implements and maintains a safe workplace program and ensures that safety is the highest priority
• Communicates professionally with the National Science Foundation, station management, other contractors, and subordinates
• Plans, establishes goals, prioritizes and schedules work center tasks and work assignments
• Receives requests and schedules personnel and assets to meet planned requirements
• Effectively lead teams to achieve departmental goals on a daily, weekly, seasonal, and long-term basis
• Ensures all personnel are trained to safely perform their assigned tasks
• Ensures all team members perform daily equipment checks and inspections on lifting fixtures
• Completes pre-season and end-of-season team member performance evaluations
• Coordinates with the Vehicle Maintenance facility and Operations Manager to plan equipment maintenance and repairs
• Maintains accurate inventory and assures adequate materials are on hand for planned work
• Performs duties as required in support of ASC goals and contractual commitments

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator
• 1 year of prior supervisory/leadership experience
• Experience in leading and managing heavy equipment operations or construction projects
• Ability to manage teams in a resource and equipment limited work environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Team player and group dynamics are of the utmost importance
