IT Associate, Business Analyst

Role Overview

• Contributes to a cross-functional team in optimization of application capabilities & business processes
• Provides Business Analysis and Project/Product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business
• Defines requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities
• Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience
• Captures requirements for a low complexity system or module
• Translates business requirements into technical requirements
• Builds expertise in specific business processes that support business objectives
• Supports and/or participates in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience
• Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalates to appropriate team(s) as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Basic understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods
• Working knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients
• Basic understanding of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions
• Basic understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results
• Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
• Basic understanding of effective influencing tactics and strategies
• Basic understanding the necessity and value of accuracy
• Basic understanding of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis
• Basic understanding of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes
• Basic understanding of business data analysis
• Working knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product
• Basic understanding of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies.
