About this role
Role Overview
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
- Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
Requirements
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience
- Candidate must have a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance
- Candidate must have RedHat operating systems experience
- Candidate must have DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) experience
- Candidate must have strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Candidate must have the ability to read and digest technical information
- Candidate must have strong attention to detail
- Candidate must have strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
- Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
