Serve as a technical leader within Desktop Engineering, independently architecting, implementing, and managing the university’s end-user computing infrastructure.
Autonomously design, implement, and maintain desktop engineering management infrastructure.
Develop and maintain advanced device management policies, refining enforcement, automation, and configuration baselines.
Diagnose and resolve the most complex end-user device and application issues.
Lead support, configuration, and enhancement of AWS Workspaces, AWS AppStream, and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
Coach Desktop Engineers on device management tools, scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is necessary
5-7 years of related experience is necessary
Working knowledge of MECM, GPO, JAMF, AWX, and Intune is necessary
Proficiency in Microsoft, Apple, and Linux operating systems is necessary
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously on complex infrastructure design, configuration, and implementation is required.
Demonstrated commitment to VUIT’s Guiding Principles is necessary
