Role Overview
**What You'll Be Doing:
- Strategic Sourcing & Category Building: Develop and implement commodity sourcing strategies for mechanical, electrical, and automation, MHE, spare parts, or project-related materials categories while providing expert sourcing activities for the Engineering Projects Procurement Category.
- Bid Leadership & Contracting: Lead the end-to-end RFQ/RFP process, including Client Bid support, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization, Contract and framework agreement management.
- Supplier Partnership & Performance: Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, ensuring delivery alignment and driving continuous improvement through rigorous performance audits and KPIs.
- Cost Optimization & Value Creation: Execute cost-reduction initiatives through TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis, value engineering, and market benchmarking to identify innovation opportunities.
- Global Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics, as well as global teams in Finance, Legal, GDPR, and IT to ensure project success.
- Compliance & Governance: Drive the adoption of procurement policies and ethical sourcing practices while maintaining accurate records and performance dashboards in our ERP system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within industrial, automation, manufacturing, or material handling industries.
- Fluent in English, French, Italian, German language skills are considered an advantage.
- Experience working with international suppliers and global procurement environments.
- Interest in the Engineering supply market and developments
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and P2P process understanding
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office package, including MS Excel
Preferred Experience
- An engineer's degree or technical background is considered an additional asset but not required
- Experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automation systems, intralogistics, or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with project procurement and spare parts sourcing.
- Exposure to international supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of Lean, cost engineering, or supplier development methodologies
