Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Sun Life's IT function to understand IT process improvements using AI and translate them into effective solutions that can work at scale.
Implement and maintain robust pipelines for AI ready data, ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of data used for AI applications.
Working with Sun Life's Engineering Innovation and Architecture team, continuously research and evaluate emerging Generative AI and Agentic AI tools and techniques to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to the growth and adoption of the AI capabilities within the firm.
Participate in the development of AI governance policies and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards along with cost effectiveness.
Partnering with SunLife Enterprise teams, drive the needs of Sun Life by creating a collaborative development approach.
Requirements
5-8 years’ experience in enterprise organizations focused on data, AI, and cloud adoption preferably in the financial services or asset management industry.
Over 4 years of experience developing applications and managing AI data layers and pipelines with cloud-native technologies.
Strong technical expertise in Agentic AI, RAG patterns, and developing frontend apps with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Databases/Warehouses (Snowflake, Postgres).
Hands on experience with LLM and embedding models.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of agent-based AI architectures, agent orchestration, and multi-agent frameworks.
Production experience with containerized deployments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with AWS Bedrock and agent/workflow orchestration tools (e.g., n8n), covering model selection, prompt and version management, tool integration, and production agent execution.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related technical field.
Proven understanding of modern Digital & Data engineering.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and arbitrate competing priorities within a diverse set of user communities and stakeholders (internal and external).
