As Head of Group Savings Compliance, you will support Beneva’s Corporate Head of Compliance and carry out your responsibilities for Cabinet Services Investissements Beneva Inc. (SIB)
Serve as the Chief Compliance Officer for group savings brokerage at SIB by monitoring and assessing compliance of SIB’s conduct and that of persons acting on its behalf
Present an annual report to SIB’s Board of Directors on the compliance of the firm’s conduct and that of persons acting on its behalf with securities legislation
Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for assessing compliance across distribution networks
Implement, or ensure the execution of, the distribution network surveillance program and participate in its updates
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services, including at least 12 months of relevant experience in the securities sector within the last 36 months
Hold the mutual fund dealer representative registration for group savings brokerage
Successful completion of the Branch Compliance Officer (RCS) course or an equivalent
Successful completion of the Canadian Investment Funds course exam, the Canadian Securities Course exam, or the Investment Funds in Canada exam
Successful completion of the Exam for Officers, Partners and Directors (AAD)
Any other acceptance criteria recognized by applicable securities regulation
Deep knowledge of regulations, rules and practices in pan‑Canadian life and health insurance and of securities regulation in Quebec
Proficiency in French, both spoken and written, and advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks and interactions with English‑speaking colleagues, partners, clients, or vendors, and to support the company’s growth objectives.
