Process payroll transactions, handle special calculations, update employee information, collaborate with partners, prepare journal entries, and manage time and labor systems while ensuring compliance with standards.
Retrieve reports, collaborate with HR, conduct audits, and communicate outcomes to Senior Management.
Ensure compliance with SOX regulations for payroll by implementing and maintaining secure procedures and adhering to internal controls consistently.
Manage all payroll-related issues for all external and internal stakeholders in a prompt and efficient manner.
Identify and produce process improvement initiatives and action plans of essential projects such as Benefit Compliance, Global Mobility Compliance and Payroll Tax Compliance.
Manage all vendor relationships and provide best practice process solutions that could be used to improve process performance from a Vendor and Process perspective.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of 5 years of overall experience with full life cycle payroll with a global entity with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations as they relate to payroll.
Experience working in a fast paced work environment, ideally in the tech industry.
Timeliness: Strong deadline management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional collaborators to an outcome on a set timeline.
Prioritization: Excellent project management skills with the ability to process a large number of competing requests from cross-functional partners.
Efficient with large dataset management; strong experience in Excel.
Must embrace tools and technology; familiarity with Paylocity, Workday, Intacct is ideal.
