Role Overview
- Assists with accurate analysis of basic company or statistical plan changes and the preparation of statistical requirements for internal departments or external agencies
- Develops data processing system requests to maintain the accuracy of company systems and notify users throughout the company of changes to various statistical plans
- Analyzes data for validity and accuracy
- Analyzes statistical errors
- Recommends and/or initiates action within well-defined objectives
- Maintains and updates databases, ensuring data is organized and accessible for reporting purposes
- Develops knowledge of all statistical manuals, statistical plans, coding guides, claims, underwriting, premium audit files, and other related reference materials related to statistical reporting
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their data reporting needs and deliver customized solutions
- Presents findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Maintains updated knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and reporting
- Develops understanding of industry products/coverages and applies that knowledge to support business activity
- Develops and maintains documentation for data processes, workflows, reporting standards, and data dictionaries
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Liberal Arts or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- 3 to 5 years in Worker’s Compensation is preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Proof of Coverage and Policy Error Reporting a plus
