Managing end-to-end General Ledger accounting processes, including complex journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications
Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, including the resolution of complex or aged items
Acting as a subject matter expert for GL accounting, providing guidance and technical support to the team and stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal policies
Identifying opportunities for process optimization and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with internal and external auditors during audit processes
Supporting and mentoring junior team members in their professional development
Participating in or leading projects related to system implementations, migrations, or process transitions

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing processes and complex reconciliations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
Professional working proficiency in English with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting
Proactive, detail-oriented approach, and ability to work independently
Professional working proficiency in German with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting (Nice to have)
