Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products

Performs analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvements
Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront
Takes feedback from code review and apply changes to meet standards
Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of relevant experience
Hands-On backend development using Java (Java EE/Java 8+), Spring Boot, and RESTful API design
Strong experience building scalable microservices with focus on API security (OAuth, JWT) and resilience patterns
Hands-on with cloud-native development on Azure, AWS, or GCP; Kubernetes/container orchestration experience preferred
Proficient in API management & service mesh tools (Apigee, Istio) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/CloudBees)
Experience with data systems including RDBMS (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (Cassandra)
Exposure to streaming & event-driven architectures (Kafka, Spark) and modern API paradigms like GraphQL
Strong foundation in Agile/Scrum, DevOps principles, and engineering tools (Git, Jira, automated testing frameworks)
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
