About this role
Role Overview
- Perform manual and/or automated testing of voice protocols on ONTs, OLTs, and modems
- Develop and maintain test scripts using Python, Robot Framework, or Abacus
- Write test cases, prepare test plans, and execute regression and release testing
- Debug and validate issues in collaboration with development teams
- Contributes to continuous improvement of test processes and tools
- Validate voice protocol implementations on ONTs, OLTs, and modems
- Testing legacy telephony, and cable modem technologies
- Develop and maintain test scripts using test automation frameworks
- Use tools like Ameritec Fortissimo, Abacus, Spirent Test Center, and Wireshark
- Write test plans and execute test cases
- Reproduce customer-reported issues in lab environments
Requirements
- Experience in voice protocol testing: SIP, MGCP, H.248
- Familiarity with IPTV (IGMP), SS7, DOCSIS, and network protocols
- Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Jira, Bamboo, Abacus, Ameritec, Spirent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Networking and Voice technology
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification preferred
- Leadership experience or interest in mentoring junior testers
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
