Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to build systems that proactively detect and prevent harm
Guide and mentor engineers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and continuous learning
Take ownership of complex technical problems, driving solutions from insight to impact with an agile mindset
Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, run operations, improve code quality, and enhance problem-solving efficiency, while applying strong human judgment and accountability
Champion responsible and inclusive use of AI in engineering workflows, ensuring outputs are accurate, unbiased, and aligned with user safety principles
Help shape a fast-moving, high-impact engineering culture that values innovation and respect for our users
Requirements
Typically requires 3–5 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills
Strong experience writing production-level software in at least one modern programming language
Proven ability to deliver complex projects end-to-end and take ownership of outcomes
Effective collaborator who works cross-functionally and communicates clearly with technical and non-technical partners
Demonstrates an agile mindset, adapting quickly and seeing work through from idea to impact
Comfortable using AI-powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot) to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and learning speed
Experience with ML-assisted development workflows and experimentation
Applies AI thoughtfully and responsibly -validating outputs, identifying bias or errors, and using human judgment in decision-making
Strong curiosity and a growth mindset, with a desire to explore new technologies and continuously improve
