Role Overview
The Engineer works as a member of the project team to support of all phases of major projects, from initial project scoping/development through construction and final project close-out
Support development of major project scope and EPC bid package
Support cost estimate, schedule, risk analysis, bid evaluation and contract development
Provide engineering oversight to ensure compliance with project contract and design criteria
Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of complex problems
Handle differing situations which require searching for solutions within area of expertise
Participate in design reviews, drawing reviews, construction support, resolution of technical RFIs, construction support, and project warranty support
Conduct engineering related studies
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches with the ability to conduct analysis and recommend process enhancements and standards relative to area of assignment
Assist in the accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities under the guidance of higher-level employees
Develop positive internal and external working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
Maintain accurate records and files
Keep abreast of new developments, technologies procedures and equipment
Coach and mentor other engineering and non-degreed engineering professionals
Represent the company positively and professionally
Requirements
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer
A master’s degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree
Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience for Engineer III role
Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years with state registration as a Professional Engineer for Senior Engineer role
Knowledge of permitting, storm water, geotechnical, foundations, concrete, structural steel, lifting/rigging, and building codes
Major project experience with emphasis on constructability and project execution
Skilled in principles of engineering in the utility industry
