Build and scale the Division‑level Business Architecture practice, including the development of standards, methodologies, frameworks, and core processes
Drive design of the operating model to support strategic direction, partnering with specialist functions across the business to finalise the design and implementation
Build and leverage strategic relationships across the business and enable teams to maintain alignment to strategy and drive long-term capability investment
Lead the development of Division methodology, frameworks and processes for the Business Architecture function
Brings insights from customers, partners, competitors, and technology into QBE to inform strategic decision-making
Provides on-the-job coaching and development to team members in core strategy skills, business acumen and communication
Lead and mobilize cross-functional teams to design the business architecture and capability roadmaps
Co-design the development of a multi-year Division capabilities roadmap and target business architecture enabling effective execution of the strategy
Support discussion at the Executive, Group and Board levels to enable effective engagement and secure commitment to fund and execute the Division strategy
Identify and prioritize high-impact initiatives for inclusion in the multi-year roadmap
Requirements
Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Familiarity with commercial insurance products and processes—such as underwriting, policy lifecycle (new business, renewals, endorsements), and broker/agent distribution models
Experience working at senior stakeholder level advising on business, operating, and IT strategy, business architecture concepts, and decisions
Experience developing business, operating, and IT strategies, business architecture designs, principles, policies, and roadmaps
Experience working in a large corporate environment with substantial investment in change and operational and IT implications
Significant experience in transformation or strategy consulting, transformation, or business architecture capability in a corporate environment
Experience managing executive stakeholder groups
