Lead the implementation and ongoing management of BBYO’s Alumni Mentorship Program, including participant recruitment, onboarding, communications, stewardship, program operations, speaker coordination, evaluation, and participant experience.
Cultivate and steward relationships with alumni mentors, speakers, and volunteers to strengthen engagement and support long-term participation.
Execute alumni engagement strategies within local communities in partnership with BBYO’s community-based staff teams, serving as the connector between alumni and staff.
Support efforts to connect alumni to local teen experiences through mentorship, speaking opportunities, volunteer leadership, and community partnerships.
Help develop systems and processes that make it easier for local teams to identify and engage alumni in meaningful ways.
Partner cross-functionally to lead the coordination and stewardship of alumni engagement opportunities connected to BBYO immersive experiences, including International Convention, summer programs, and leadership retreats.
Track engagement metrics and maintain organized systems for participant data, communications, and alumni involvement.
Execute segmented alumni communications strategies across email, newsletter, social, and digital platforms to drive engagement and increase participation across key audience groups.
Support the growth and visibility of the BBYO Alumni Association brand by developing compelling storytelling and outreach strategies that strengthen alumni awareness, affinity, and connection to BBYO’s mission and community.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
3-5 years of professional experience in alumni engagement, stakeholder engagement, community engagement, experiential education, nonprofit leadership, or related fields
Alumnus/a of BBYO strongly preferred
Demonstrated success managing and executing complex, relationship-driven programs and initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration
Experience building and stewarding relationships with volunteers, lay leaders, alumni, speakers, mentors, and external partners
Strong project management and operational leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
Ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, systems, and high-quality participant experiences
Ability to build scalable programs and processes that support long-term engagement, communication, and operational efficiency
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build trust across constituencies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve proactively, and manage ambiguity effectively
Experience utilizing data, feedback, and engagement metrics to inform program improvements and decision-making
Passion for Jewish community, teen leadership development, and BBYO’s mission
Very motivated, creative, and willing to take risks, entrepreneurial in spirit
Ability to hold oneself accountable and work without regular face-to-face supervision

Availability to work occasional nights and/or weekends
