Supporting the team to deliver audit plans for AIG UK and Talbot Underwriting Ltd
Involvement in wider Group level internal audit activity and initiatives
Planning and executing all aspects of the audit process
Building close working relationships with business and functional leaders and colleagues across other assurance functions
Leading on the planning of audits, ensuring key risks and controls are properly identified
Drafting high quality audit reports that communicate and contextualize the findings of the audit
Tracking open audit actions and verifying issues have been effectively remediated
Contributing to the overall effectiveness and value of the Internal Audit Group by proposing and helping develop innovative approaches and solutions
Requirements
Prior internal audit experience within Financial Services or Insurance, including a certified professional qualification (e.g. CIA, CMIIA, CPA) is preferred, but candidates with relevant transferrable skills or alternative sector experience will be considered
Strong stakeholder management skills
An appreciation of the importance of balancing close stakeholder collaboration and engagement with maintaining audit objectivity and independence, and an ability to operate accordingly
Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills
A desire and ability to lead and coach other team members constructively and effectively
Flexibility and ability to function independently and multi-task in a dynamic, changing environment
Experience with leveraging the use of data analysis tools is a plus (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, Access, ACL, IDEA, Qlikview, Tableau)
A resourceful team player mindset with a can-do attitude.
