Role Overview
- Write creative, compelling, compliant and winning written responses to state government requests and solicitations
- Work collaboratively as part of a writing team using a style guide to achieve a common voice, style, and message
- Convert complex solution and technical information, jargon and acronyms into evaluator-friendly, compliant content conveying sales messaging and win themes
- Minimal travel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of demonstrated experience in proposal writing
- Proven knowledge and experience with large, complex proposals in response to state government RFPs
- Government EBT experience
- Experience with industry-standard proposal development processes
- APMP or Shipley preferred
- Experience using proposal platforms and AI tools
- Responsive and Copilot experience preferred
- Experience with content management and content database tools
- Ability to write persuasively using the prospect’s points of interest, goals and objectives as stated in the RFP
- Ensuring each proposal answer conforms to the RFP requirements and instructions
- Experience designing/writing/editing tables, diagrams, charts, matrices, past performance descriptions and resumes for proposals
- Experience conducting interviews with subject matter experts, reviewing product and services source materials, and meeting milestones and deadlines
- Advanced skill in editing writing for punctuation, syntax and grammar
- Expert level experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be proficient creation and use of templates (.dot), styles, field codes, automated tables of contents, etc.
