The M&E Officer ensures the implementation of monitoring and reporting tools for our programs distributed in 11 locations across South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, Mexico, France, and the United States.
Assisting the management team in the design of documents related to reporting, partnerships, fundraising, strategic planning, etc.
Reviewing and revising existing monitoring and reporting tools to support field office managers and teams in discharging their M&E responsibilities.
Collecting regular reports from field office managers and teams in a timely manner.
Liaising with all relevant units of the Secretariat, including the Executive Office of the ADG (SC/EO), to provide the necessary data and reports regarding the impact of the partnership between UNESCO and the UNESCO Special Envoy for Peace and Reconciliation.
Analyzing and presenting high-quality data generated from WPDI activities.
Providing input to the management team on evaluation needs based on agreements with donors and partners.
Supporting the team in the identification, documentation, and synthesis of lessons learned and best practices to be integrated into the M&E framework.
Requirements
Master’s Degree in social sciences (Economics, Sociology, etc.), Statistics, Public / Non-Profit / Business Administration, or other relevant fields of study.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in M&E, preferably in the field of international development.
Proven ability to draft clear and concise documents and produce strong analytical and synthesis reports.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
Excellent IT skills, including in standard office software, and in database management and data visualization.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain trust-based working relationships within a multicultural team.
Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Ability to work in French and/or Spanish would be a plus.
