Install, configure, update, patch, troubleshoot, and maintain systems and servers in accordance with organizational policies, vendor recommendations, JSIG, and NIST 800-53 requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, system interface, and interoperability issues to ensure seamless system functionality and minimize disruptions to mission operations
Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures to protect the security, integrity, and availability of assigned systems and networks
Proactively manage system and server resources to ensure optimal performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
Continuously monitor system and server resources, including CPU utilization, memory usage, disk space, availability, and performance
Perform regular system maintenance, backup coordination, recovery support, and performance optimization in accordance with the local contingency plan and Government-approved maintenance windows
Develop, integrate, test, document, and support computer systems and supporting network infrastructure as required by the Government
Conduct impact analyses before implementing changes to USSF networks or systems to minimize disruptions and ensure compliance with local Configuration Control Board procedures
Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides and Security Requirements Guides to assigned systems to identify known vulnerabilities, harden systems, update security controls, and mitigate risk in accordance with JSIG and NIST standards.
Requirements
8 – 12 years of progressive experience in system administration, server administration, enterprise IT operations, or mission system sustainment
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field such as Info Tech, Computer Science, Cybersecurity
Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
CompTIA Security + or equivalent DoD 8140-approved cybersecurity certification
Experience administering Windows Server, Windows client systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, backup services, patching tools, endpoint management tools, and virtualization platforms
Experience troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces, interoperability issues, system outages, performance issues, and recurring technical problems
Experience monitoring system resources such as CPU, memory, disk utilization, service availability, backups, and system health
Experience applying STIGs, SRGs, patches, security baselines, and system hardening requirements
Experience documenting SOPs, troubleshooting procedures, root cause analysis, change requests, and system baselines
Experience operating within formal configuration management, change control, and maintenance window processes
Ability to coordinate technical actions with ISSO, ISSM, network administrators, cybersecurity personnel, Government leadership, and mission stakeholders.
