Perform installations, qualifications and preventive maintenance on complex electro-mechanical scientific instruments in a laboratory environment.
Maintain effective communication with customers to ensure efficient service.
Prepare samples for instrument testing and complete service protocols that meet cGMP documentation requirements.
Manage and schedule customer appointments with direct supervision.
Submit service reports to clients and accurately enter data into CRM software.
Manage personal inventory for field support and cost management.
Collaborate with Sales, Field Applications and Technical Support Teams to support pre and post sales inquiries.
Requirements
Associate degree in an engineering or science field and 1 year of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry OR completion of military electrical technical training and 1 year of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry OR minimum of 3 years of field service experience in a life science, biotech or medical industry
Strong computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Laboratory experience is preferred.
Basic laboratory skills, including experience in BSL2 and BSL3 labs
Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
Ability to lift and carry tools, parts and instruments weighing up to 50 lbs.
