Oversee the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Oversee multi-state payroll processing and reporting.
Ensure timely preparation of internal and external financial reports.
Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and government contract standards, including T&M, CPFF, and FFP contracts.
Lead and oversee all corporate tax planning, preparation, and filing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely submission in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
Hold an active CPA license and apply expertise to guide financial strategy, risk management, and accounting best practices across the organization
Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework, monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring the company adheres to all applicable financial laws and reporting requirements
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies, serving as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries and examinations
Partner with senior leadership to provide tax-efficient strategies that support business growth, M&A activity, and corporate restructuring initiatives
Supervise and mentor accounting staff; foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee payroll, AP, AR, and procurement accounting.
Collaborate with Pricing, Project Controls and other finance function as well as Contracts, HR, Program Management to ensure alignment between financial practices and operational execution.
Serve as a system owner for the company’s accounting/ERP system (Unanet)
Drive automation, process efficiencies, and best practices across the accounting function.
Requirements
Chartered Accountant / CFA / Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA License
8+ years of progressive accounting experience in large organizations
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience managing accounting teams and leading month-end close cycles.
Hands-on experience with a accounting system (Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Unanet, etc.).
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
