The Pharmacy Technician IV will work under the supervision of the pharmacist to provide excellent customer service to patients receiving specialty medications.
This technician will be responsible for the management for the dispensing functions for specialty medications and monthly outreach calls to assess the need for refills on medications and check on the overall wellbeing of the assigned patients.
The Pharmacy Technician IV will also be responsible for managing prior authorizations and financial assistance for assigned specialty patients as well as serve as a role model and assist in the training of staff.
All clinical issues will be referred to the pharmacist.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Plus 4 years relevant pharmacy technician experience OR Undergraduate degree and relevant pharmacy technician experience
Licensed pharmacy technician by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
1 year to obtain ASHP/ACPE Accredited Technician Training or certificate program (such as Advanced Certified)
PTCB National Certification
