About this role
Role Overview
Lead employment litigation matters through all phases, including pre-litigation, discovery, dispositive motions, and resolution
Own complex employment matters, including class, collective, and representative actions, as well as high-risk individual claims
Lead complex commercial litigation and, as needed, government investigations
Develop and drive litigation strategy, including risk assessment, settlement posture, and scenario planning
Retain and manage outside counsel, including strategy, staffing, and performance oversight
Manage litigation budgets and partner with Finance on reserves and disclosures
Advise business leaders and internal stakeholders on litigation risk, trends, and business impact
Partner cross-functionally with Employment, HR, Compliance, and business teams to manage risk and support decision-making
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, or ability to practice in the role’s location through in-house registration
Strong grounding in U.S. employment law, including experience with class, collective, and representative actions
Demonstrated ability to lead complex litigation matters independently
Experience in commercial litigation and, preferably, exposure to government investigations
Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets
Comfort advising business partners and senior stakeholders
