Responsible for the supervision of staff including appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, having the authority for hiring, and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions.
Supervises direct reports including motivating, training, providing guidance, and direction.
Develops expectations and meets with staff regularly to discuss performance, completes performance reviews, and takes disciplinary action, if needed.
Maintains vacation and work schedules to ensure proper coverage and completes timesheets.
Ensures all staff complete required training and are offered additional training.
Manages a regulatory program within the Board of Medicine, Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation.
Analyzes, formulates, and recommends proposals to rules and legislation.
Communicates verbally and in writing, providing guidance to educators, the general medical community, applicants and licensees regarding the statutory, rule and policy requirements of the initial licensure program.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
