Lead architecture, design, and implementation of modernized web applications and APIs; propose migration strategies (lift-and-shift, replatform, refactor) and lead execution
Collaborate with product owners, architects, security, and infrastructure teams to prioritize modernization efforts and align roadmaps
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines, automated test suites, and release orchestration across multiple environments
Define and enforce IaC best practices, reusable modules, and deployment governance for Azure and/or AWS
Lead container and Kubernetes platform strategy, including operational runbooks, capacity planning, and scaling
Integrate security into architecture and SDLC: threat modeling, SAST/DAST, secrets management, and compliance controls
Drive incident response, lead post-mortems, and own remediation and continuous-improvement actions
Mentor and coach engineers, lead design/code reviews, and promote engineering standards and automation
Drive observability, performance tuning, cost optimization, and operational reliability for cloud workloads
Produce and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and migration plans
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical degree
5+ years of professional experience in software development
5+ years of experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar) and pipeline automation
5+ years of experience hands-on production experience with Docker and Kubernetes at scale
5+ years of experience architecting and operating cloud infrastructure in Azure and/or AWS
5+ years of experience in one or more languages (C#, Java, Python) and enterprise frameworks (.NET, Spring Boot)
5+ years of database experience (SQL and familiarity with NoSQL)
3+ years of experience designing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep/ARM/Terraform/CloudFormation
3+ years of cloud security services and using secure architecture principles
Ability to obtain and maintain required enhanced background screening and security requirements, which requires being a U.S. Citizen.
