Own the backend that powers SCRL across iOS, Android, and upcoming web platform
Work on architectural decisions with CTO and Head of Data, and new features with frontend team
Build and maintain APIs and services that deliver content to millions of users
Design systems that scale as we grow without scaling costs at the same rate
Own PostgreSQL database and how we store and serve content
Build scalable systems for storing and delivering images and creative assets using AWS and S3
Ensure premium status stays in sync across iOS, Android, and web
Implement proper security and access control, ensuring GDPR compliance

Several years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
Strong foundations in TypeScript and PostgreSQL
Experience working with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP
Experience building systems that have scaled in terms of users, traffic, or complexity
Comfortable being a senior voice in discussions around architecture, tradeoffs, and long-term platform decisions
