Coaching and advising management and workers on meeting their work health and safety duties
Supporting management and workers in the implementation of policies, systems, programs and initiatives and meeting local legislative requirements
Promoting a safe and positive work culture and role model safety leadership principles
Field inspections and investigations
Assist business management in continually improving the company’s risk management capabilities
Providing specialist HSE advice in incident prevention and safety performance improvement
Support management in Return to Work Rehabilitation processes
Frequently travel within the region as required
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role is desired
Working knowledge of Legislation, Standards and Codes and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS 4801 standards
Prior experience managing HSE requirements on major engineering or construction projects, with a strong track record in working effectively with project contractors is highly regarded
Experience in auditing and investigation
Excellent communication and people management skills
Power, energy, or other utilities industry experience is desirable
Relevant qualifications in an OH&S, engineering, construction, or business discipline are highly regarded.
