Responsible for the design, deployment, and optimisation of wireless network infrastructure across multiple Agency offices
Configure and troubleshoot wireless access points / controller and related network equipment (routers, switches, firewall)
Conduct site surveys at Agency site offices to assess RF environments and determine optimal access point placement
Work closely with Agency stakeholders and vendors to plan and deliver change requests and upgrades
Develop standard WiFi deployment templates and playbook
Work with the operations leads in ensuring the smooth operations management and enhancement of the WiFi network infrastructure systems and services.
Work with the Agency stakeholders, service counterparts, operations leads and vendors in ensuring the smooth delivery of services in meeting the SLA (Service Level Agreement) for the WiFi network infrastructure and services.
Requirements
Relevant studies in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering or Information Technology or related disciplines
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in wireless networking implementation and operations, with demonstrated proficiency in enterprise Wi-Fi technologies such as IEEE 802.11 standards (Wi-Fi 5/6/6E).
Experience with major wireless platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, or Meraki is required.
Familiarity with RF planning tools (e.g. Ekahau) and network monitoring tools is an advantage.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and network security principles.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent time management skill and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Good communication skills and keen to learn new technologies
Preference:
Candidates who possess industry WiFi certifications such as CWNA, CCIE Enterprise Wireless, ACP, or similar
Experience with network monitoring tools and network management software
Familiar with cloud networking and virtual environments
Preferably familiar with Government ICT environment and/or with experience in deploying multiple wireless / network projects and managing multiple agency stakeholders
Experience in working with telecommunication service providers
Experience in implementing and/or managing large scale enterprise WiFi networks that contained minimally 250 AP or 5 different sites based on WiFi 6 and above
