Develop strong understanding of the assigned country or market, including the local technology ecosystem, business environment, key software verticals, founders, investors, advisors, associations, and relevant industry networks.
Identify B2B software companies that may fit CSI’s acquisition criteria, including vertical market software businesses, enterprise software vendors, and other product-led technology companies.
Conduct in-depth market research across priority MENA countries and selected verticals, including vertical market mapping, competitive landscapes, software category analysis, founder/company research, and identification of market leaders, emerging players, and potential acquisition targets.
Maintain accurate tracking of sourcing activity, outreach progress, target qualification, relationship status, and deal pipeline movement.
Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and strategic updates for the leadership team.
Provide country-level insights, market updates, company lists, and ecosystem intelligence to support Boson Portfolio’s broader MENA expansion strategy.
Support day-to-day sourcing operations, including database building, contact research, outreach tracking, meeting coordination, preparation of company profiles, and follow-up management.
Other tasks and projects as and when assigned.
Requirements
5–7+ years of relevant experience with ideally at least five years at a tier one management consulting firm, private equity, principal investment shop, or investment bank analyst program.
Prior experience in a business development or market-facing role, with demonstrated ability to generate leads, build relationships, and maintain a long-term pipeline.
Strong existing industry network in the country of residence/coverage, including relationships with founders, business owners, executives, advisors, investors, or other relevant ecosystem stakeholders.
Good understanding of the MENA business and technology landscape, with the ability to identify relevant markets, verticals, and acquisition opportunities.
Academic performance with an Undergraduate Degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field (PMP, MBA, CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification considered an asset but not required).
Ability to establish credibility with senior business leaders.
Proven research, analytical, market mapping and competitive mapping skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity and limited oversight; able to proactively identify opportunities to leverage skill set.
Able to work independently and seek out guidance and learning/development opportunities from colleagues
Experience with CRM tools, pipeline tracking, dashboards, and reporting is considered an asset.
Financial analysis, modelling, diligence, or transaction execution experience is considered an asset but not required.
