Resolve and manage problems immediately
Provide systems support functions such as design, development, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution; follow-through until problems are resolved
Maintain current, high-level technical skills in your network field of expertise. Keep abreast of developments in computing technology and solutions to common problems.
Manage projects, as assigned
Establish networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
Develop and maintain network topology documentation
Schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects on network optimization
Secure network by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information; managing projects
Analyze network data to determine network usage, disk space availability, or server function
Configure security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals
Configure wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) routers or related equipment
Configure and define parameters for installation or testing of local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), routers, switches, controllers, or related networking equipment
Evaluate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) performance data to ensure sufficient availability or speed, to identify network problems, or for disaster recovery purposes
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline
5+ years of experience working in a technical field
High-level of proficiency with enterprise networking environments
CCNP Certification preferred
Understanding of two or more of the following routing protocols
IP, EIRGP, OSPF, BGP
Ability to perform basic protocol analysis using a LAN analyzer
Understanding of WAN, LAN, interfaces, protocols, and topology
Knowledge of WAN and LAN Concepts
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Understanding of switching concepts-VLAN
Experience/training on one or more of the following: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto
