IT Specialist

Role Overview

• Support the development and maintenance of project timelines and schedules
• Track project tasks and follow up on deliverables to ensure timely completion
• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues, escalating when appropriate
• Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, action logs, risk registers, and status updates
• Capture key decisions and communicate updates to stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of regular project status reports
• Follow up on action items from meetings to ensure closure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project execution
• Help ensure vendors comply with required processes, documentation, and training
• Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures
• Contribute to team discussions, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of project management concepts, methodologies, and tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Eagerness to learn and develop project management capabilities.
• Internship or early career experience supporting projects or working in an IT environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar) (preferred)
