About this role
Role Overview
- Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of Islamic Banking clients
- Act as a trusted support to clients on Islamic Banking solutions
- Drive acquisition of new Islamic Banking clients
- Maintain high standards of client service
- Collaborate with business units (Personal, Business Banking, Corporate Banking) to embed Islamic Banking
- Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets
- Ensure full compliance with Absa policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Islamic Finance qualification (e.g. IFQ, CIFP, AAOIFI-aligned certification)
- 5–7 years’ experience in relationship management, business banking, corporate banking, Personal Banking
- Demonstrable exposure to Islamic Banking or Islamic finance products
- Strong understanding of credit processes, risk management, and banking products
