Collaborate with the Software Engineers, Risk Scientists, and Business SMEs and lead other Data Engineers to design, develop, integrate and test Data Product features on the product roadmaps to meet customer needs
Design, develop, maintain and continuously enhance data processes that underpin critical regulatory and prudential change, delivering high-quality solutions while shaping how others approach the work through clear leadership and oversight
Play a key role in building modern data products, pipelines and APIs that power current and future analytics and reporting
Set the standard for engineering excellence—mentoring colleagues, offering constructive feedback and creating opportunities for shared learning and growth
Work closely with the Product Owner and customers, help shape and prioritise the feature team backlog, applying strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgement to assess options and define a clear, confident way forward

Passion for software and data engineering, adopting the mindset of a curious engineer
A technical lead who takes ownership of deliveries within a Feature Team and is willing to help grow and guide engineers to form successful teams
Experience with cloud technology for data solutions, particularly Google Cloud Platform
Experience with DBT, SQL, Python, Java or SAS and other open source technologies used in analytics is essential
Ability to understand complex business requirements and create business ready solutions
Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, particularly the ability to convey business information arising from technical subject matter to non-technical people
Insights into industry solutions for data management, storage, and analytics would be great
Experience of working within regulatory change would be advantageous, including Credit Risk, capital and impairment processes
Experience of Commercial Banking Application Landscape and associated data models and data flows
Experience of line management
