Role Overview
- You will be part of the technology team, the engine room of the business, delivering bespoke systems that give CFC its competitive edge in a dynamic and fast-paced marketplace. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in identifying and solving real business problems by translating strategic and customer needs into actionable product solutions.
- You will work on high-impact initiatives that improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and support business growth and profitability.
- You will take ownership of a defined product, managing and prioritising the product backlog in alignment with the broader product vision and roadmap.
- This involves working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs, gather feedback, and balance competing priorities. Your focus will be on delivering measurable value by making data-informed decisions and ensuring product changes align with business objectives.
- You will be responsible for defining features and epics, and breaking them down into testable, deliverable user stories that are clearly understood by the development team.
- You will support the design of customer-centric solutions, collaborating closely with engineers and QA to ensure requirements are well-defined and implemented effectively.
- You will participate fully in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous feedback and alignment across teams.
Requirements
- You are an experienced Product Manager, Product Owner, or Senior Business Analyst with a proven track record of delivering value through technology and process improvements in complex, fast-paced environments.
- You bring experience in the insurance sector, ideally with exposure to the inner workings of an insurance brokerage. A strong understanding of the specialty insurance market is highly desirable.
- You have worked on high-impact insurance technology projects, with hands-on involvement in areas such as underwriting, claims, operations, and finance, and understand the nuances of these processes.
- You are comfortable navigating both strategic and operational problem spaces, able to define the right business solution, whether it involves product development or not.
- You understand the value of iterative delivery, customer feedback loops, and cross-functional collaboration, and are comfortable challenging traditional ways of working to drive better outcomes.
