Lead Data Scientist

Role Overview

• Lead and oversee the development and execution of data science & AI projects.
• Define the technical roadmap and vision for data science initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into existing systems.
• Design and implement advanced statistical models, algorithms, and machine learning techniques.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and guide the team.
• Present complex findings and insights to executive stakeholders.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with external partners and research institutions.
• Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in data science, statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced statistical modelling techniques, experimental design, and hypothesis testing.
• Expertise in machine learning techniques, including deep learning, ensemble methods, time series analysis, and reinforcement learning.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, specifically Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proven experience in leading and managing data science projects and teams.
• Ability to drive the strategic direction of data science initiatives.
• A good understanding of AI technologies such as Agentic AI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
