Interview and/or approve job applicants for employment
Conduct and/or review associate performance appraisals
Initiate or approve salary adjustments, performance ratings, and other personnel changes
Counsel associates and take disciplinary action or terminate the employment of associates as appropriate
Manage the activities of engineers and engineer teams in the establishment and implementation of new or revised systems and programs
Responsible for software implementations ensuring accuracy and completeness
Monitor and analyze functional and non-functional requirements in accordance with regulatory and operating requirements
Conduct research to understand diverse perspectives from business, project management, design, and others
Assist engineers and others in diagnosing cause of problems and manage remedy actions
Analyze the impact of new hardware and software on existing systems
Train, mentor and provide developmental opportunities for engineers
Review existing systems for possible program or systems improvement or enhancements
Prepare department business plans, staffing projections and budgets

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field of study
Ten (10) years of experience as a Software Engineer, or related occupation
Ten (10) years of experience with software development lifecycle best practices
Five (5) years of experience with development in a large-scale, mission-critical environment
Five (5) years of experience supervising personnel in a technical environment
Two (2) years of experience with automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end functional testing
