About this role
Role Overview
Manage and expand PSP network (sourcing, onboarding, integrations)
Lead negotiations (rates, fees, settlements, terms)
Define and optimize routing strategies based on performance and cost
Monitor provider performance and ensure reliability
Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with payment providers
Align PSP strategy with regional and business needs
Handle complex and high-risk cases, finding solutions where others fail
Own and manage relationships with Payment Service Providers (PSPs), acquirers, banks, and payment partners across Asia.
Act as the primary point of contact for provider communication, escalations, operational matters, and commercial discussions.
Coordinate provider-side issue resolution, maintenance communication, and escalation handling.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new PSPs, payment methods, and banking partners across Asia markets.
Build and manage the PSP pipeline based on regional business needs, market gaps, operational risks, and strategic priorities.
Lead commercial discussions and negotiations with providers, including fees, settlement terms, FX costs, reserves, and operational conditions.
Monitor provider profitability, commercial performance, settlement structures, and processing costs.
Prepare operational and commercial reports related to PSP performance, payment costs, provider utilization, and optimization opportunities.
Coordinate PSP integrations, migrations, feature implementations, and payment-related projects with Product and Development teams.
Support optimization of routing strategies, provider allocation, and transaction distribution across Asia markets.
Coordinate closely with Payments Operations, Product, Development, Finance, Compliance, Back Office, and regional business teams.
Requirements
Proven, hands-on experience working with PSPs, EMIs, or banks
Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, PSPs, acquiring, banking operations, and fintech infrastructure.
Experience in PSP management, payment operations, business development, fintech, or financial services is considered a strong advantage.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple providers, projects, and operational priorities simultaneously.
Strong commercial awareness and operational problem-solving mentality.
Comfortable working with payment data, reporting tools, operational metrics, and provider analytics.
Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability mentality.
Willingness and ability to travel within Asia (3–4 months per year)
Excellent understanding of payment flows, routing, and local markets
