Develop and strengthen relationships with existing end users, contractors, and engineers while cultivating new business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
Provide engineers and end users with professional product recommendations, technical support, and consistent follow-up to ensure successful project execution and maximize sales growth.
Take initiative in scheduling customer meetings, coordinating product presentations and promotional events, and maintaining regular communication with your customer base.
Attend product training sessions and actively participate in local industry associations, conferences, and trade shows.
Travel to manufacturers and represented company locations for training and professional development as needed.
Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience within the water and wastewater industry, with proven success in sales, business development, or account management.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license highly desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical solutions to engineers, municipalities, contractors, and plant personnel.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.
Proven skills in consultative selling, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Highly self-motivated with strong organizational, time management, and territory management abilities.
Comfortable conducting in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects, priorities, and customer accounts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/customer relationship management software preferred.
Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
Ability and willingness to travel in an assigned territory (Upstate NY).
