Work in the Civil and Criminal Litigation Unit of the Sicredi Administrative Center (CAS) in Porto Alegre, serving the central and retail cooperatives that make up the Sicredi system, overseeing, conducting and managing the portfolio of credit recovery lawsuits under the unit's responsibility.
Monitor, lead and manage judicial credit recovery and judicial reorganization (insolvency) proceedings with external law firms, providing guidance and direction on defense, appeals and settlement strategies.
Analyze scenarios and different situations from the perspective of the courts, using interpretation of legislation, doctrine and up-to-date case law to provide input and different perspectives in the decision-making process, assessing risks and proposing viable solutions for internal clients.
Analyze cases, jurisprudential trends and concrete matters to propose improvements for the business.
Draft responses to legal inquiries and legal opinions on complex matters, always using clear and accessible language for internal clients.
Develop training and systemic legal guidance that promote understanding of the various topics involved in the daily operations of credit unions.
Collaborate with the management teams within the Legal Department (Business, Products and Contracts, and Legal Operations) and other areas that are part of CAS.
Participate in various committees and associations, representing Sicredi.
Requirements
Law degree with active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
Postgraduate degree in Law and Civil Procedure.
Knowledge and practical experience in credit recovery.
Ability to analyze different aspects of the same issue, negotiation skills, organization, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Desired: intermediate English.
