The New Countries Regulatory Affairs Manager’s key responsibility is providing concise, commercially aligned advice on existing and new regulation and other issues related to product and brand compliance across all 14 product categories for the upcoming new countries.
Reporting to the International Regulatory Affairs Manager, the role has a strong regulatory focus and requires the role holder to have the ability to translate legal requirement to clear commercial advice to all internal stakeholders.
It involves a high degree of flexibility working with stakeholders at all levels from internal functions, external subject matter experts, government organisations and product related authorities in markets to provide direct advice or second line of defence support on product regulatory issues.
This is a key role linking the overall European Action strategy and the country specific requirements and collaborative approach to compliance of the Buying, Compliance and Product Technology teams at the Head office and the Management team of the country to ensure Action complies to mandatory requirements regardless of sourcing route.

Requirements
Ability to prioritize and agility to shift priorities daily with a solid sense of urgency.
Experience in regulatory matters related to legal product compliance.
Awareness in the field of product safety & legislation, risk analysis, and prevention.
Able to analyze data (KPI’s, customer feedback, sales) to shape future strategy.
Always willing to keep learning: Action, like many other retailers are subject to constantly changing legislation, so staying on top of things is vital.
Ability to work across multiple sourcing models (import, private label, direct) and cultures.
Able to manage forward thinking for newness and project delivery.
Educational level at Academic degree to relevant product/legal/ISO level.
Has a minimum of 7 years’ experience in similar position.
Computer literate, MS Office, PLM experience.
Fluent in English is essential. French and/or German would be advantageous.
