Provide expert sound, practical and commercially astute advice on Data Protection/Privacy compliance across the SkyShowtime business at both senior and junior levels.
Support and enhance the compliance program, including the governance assurance framework and compliance controls to ensure an appropriate level of oversight across the privacy compliance program and activities.
Devise and deliver appropriate training programmes to all SkyShowtime staff ensuring good working data privacy practice and activity across the company.
Provide expert, sound, practical and commercially astute advice on managing substantive privacy risks generally, including conducting data protection impact assessment, providing contractual support (such as procurement contracts), incident management, individual rights requests, and related matters.
Provide commercial, risk-optimised advice in relation to new business initiatives, such as behavioural advertising, children’s privacy, and similar.
Instruct and provide oversight of SkyShowtime’s outside counsel Data Protection Officer, and ensure appropriate implementation of any requirements;
Set up and maintain tracking and reporting on the implementation and effectiveness of the SkyShowtime privacy program and demonstrate continual improvement including through automation and digital transformation.
Conduct AI risk assessments to ensure legal and regulatory compliance across the SkyShowtime business including compliance with EU AI Act and GDPR.
Track relevant privacy legislation across the SkyShowtime footprint and ensure SkyShowtime policy, processes and business activities are compliant with risks appropriately managed.
Provide supplemental support on corporate compliance work as necessary (including bribery, anti-money laundering, fraud, sanctions, conflicts of interest and political risk).
Provide supplemental support on the Modern Slavery program (including the Modern Slavery Statement and supplier due diligence).
Requirements
Qualified lawyer with ideally a minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification experience advising on privacy-related risks in a multi-national business.
Proven ability to develop and operate compliance frameworks and policies, and conduct risk assessments, internal investigations and training.
Demonstrate up to date industry knowledge and ability to respond effectively to developments.
Good technical systems knowledge, including in relation to the functionality of cookies, advertising tokens, payment processing, and familiarity with OneTrust individual rights requests tool.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities in different territories.
Ability to operate in a commercial manner and respond quickly and pragmatically to urgent situations, be able to prioritise and resolve issues promptly and effectively, exercise sound business judgment, and effectively manage high-profile, confidential matters.
Excellent organisation, communication, managerial, project management and administrative skills.
Must be fluent in English with excellent oral and writing skills. Additional European language capabilities are a plus.
