Facilitates the creation of the DT project portfolio, Enterprise Project Plan, to develop an agreed upon set of scope to work throughout the year.
Develops operational objectives and long-range goals of the DT PMO organization.
Leads the identification, implementation, and improvement of project management / agile processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveries.
Partners with the BRMS to ensure the realization of intended project value.
Responsible for managing the DT project expense and capital budgets allocated to the DT portfolio of projects.
Ensures a strong risk and opportunity management practice is in place to proactively manage risks and realize opportunities associated with all DT projects.
Manages resource capacity by maintaining a view of resource demand across the portfolio and addressing bottlenecks to optimize resource allocation.
Provides executive leaders with status on portfolio performance, including reporting on risks and opportunities.
Provides ongoing coaching and mentoring to PMO staff and organization.
Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key PMO stakeholders, and acts as a trusted advisor.
Works escalations from project teams to break down roadblocks and barriers that stand in the way of successful project execution.
Responsible for the DT Change Management Office, ensuring that the Collins business is prepared for, adapts to, and maximizes the opportunity associated with change driven through DT projects.
Requirements
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.
Prior experience working as a project manager.
Prior experience leading a team of project managers.
