Role Overview
- Execute worldwide supplier purchasing
- Coordinate direct shipments
- Place and confirm purchase orders
- Address shortages, quality problems, and escalations
- Facilitate import and export execution and problem-solving
- Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Own product classification using Harmonized System codes (HTS and Schedule B)
- Maintain audit-ready support, and standardize classification practices across the team
- Provide trade compliance expertise, including ITAR considerations and Country of Origin certification/documentation
- Serve as a primary point of contact for compliance questions and escalations
- Ensure accurate and timely procurement and logistics transactions within SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Promote data integrity standards across SAP P2P, Material Master, and (as applicable) SAP GTS
- Create ISO standards alignment for the function by developing documentation
- Support audit readiness, and drive corrective actions to closure
Requirements
- BS or equivalent experience in related field
- Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Import/export experience
- Intermediate to advanced level user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, TEAMS and Power Point
- SAP Intermediate to advanced level user (P2P, MM and GTS modules) preferred
- Ability to negotiate successfully
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency and resourcefulness
