Role Overview
- Lead data discovery and requirements gathering across systems and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain enterprise data dictionaries, such as definitions, lineage, ownership, and standards, , building toward a unified enterprise data dictionary across systems
- Analyze and map data across multiple systems to ensure consistency and interoperability across multiple authoritative source systems
- Define data models, schemas, and data standards to support reporting and workflows
- Translate business needs into data requirements, mappings, and transformation logic
- Design and support data pipelines and integrations across platforms
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support operational and executive decision-making, including applicant/permittee and executive business intelligence dashboards with KPIs, built to Section 508 accessibility standards
- Ensure data quality, validation rules, and governance standards are implemented
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data with workflow and application systems
- Support documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria for data-related features
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics in an agile environment
- Strong experience creating and managing data dictionaries and data standards
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
- Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data mapping
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data requirements
- Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience working with multiple systems and large datasets
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust (or higher) clearance
It would be great if you also had:
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience in federal or regulated environments
