About this role
Role Overview
Develop the scope, technical basis, installation and testing requirements for engineering design changes, which include but are not limited to, AC power systems, DC power systems, Large AC motors, Transformers, Switchgear, Motor Control Centers, Voltage Regulators, Breakers, etc.
Research engineering and design issues, evaluates alternatives, determines and presents recommendations to resolve issues.
Provide ongoing support of assigned engineering design changes through work order reviews, corrective action program assignments, and field installation support activities.
Develop or revise design specifications or technical requirements documents to support engineering design changes.
Develop or revise complex engineering calculations impacted by engineering design changes.
Develop safety screens and evaluations that support engineering design changes
Revise site design basis documents, design drawings, and regulatory documents impacted by engineering design changes.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.
Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer.
Proficient in engineering theories and principles.
Proficient in principles of project management.
Experience in the utility industry.
State registration as a Professional Engineer.
Working level knowledge of ETAP software program.
Working level knowledge of nuclear industry cyber security control practices
Experience with nuclear industry standard design process.
