Participate in validating potential siting zones for new wind projects in collaboration with the Development and Mapping teams
Select and lay out turbines to maximize energy production and minimize CAPEX, while ensuring compliance with wind farm design standards, construction feasibility, and environmental and regulatory constraints
Calculate the expected energy yield of wind projects
Define methodology, calculate losses, and estimate uncertainties
Supervise installation, maintenance, decommissioning, and storage of measurement equipment
Ensure data collection with maximum availability
Process measured on-site data and build the wind model
Commission, monitor, and validate acoustic/noise studies
Commission, monitor, and validate other specific studies (shadow flicker, ice/snow, loading, and others)
Support Project Management and the Purchasing & Logistics department during turbine vendor consultations and the signing of turbine supply contracts
Validate technical appendices (power curve, acoustic/noise data, site climatic conditions, site suitability assessment)
Define and improve methodologies related to your specialty.
Requirements
Degree from an engineering school or a university Master’s degree with a specialization in fluid dynamics, meteorology, or mathematics
5+ years of experience in this role, including at least 3 years on projects in France
Experience analyzing and processing data collected from meteorological stations
Proficiency in specialized software Windographer and OpenWind
Knowledge of Meteodyn, windPRO, or PyWake is a plus
Proven experience and capacity for innovation to understand the needs of each project and adapt calculation methodology to available information, project stage, and deadlines
Understanding of the business as well as the capabilities and responsibilities of the different departments involved
Mastery of international standards applicable to the calculations and studies of the profession
English: C1 level expected (working language with external companies)
