Reporting to the Global Editorial Team Lead, the Editorial Support Specialist is responsible for reviewing and editing a wide range of materials in a timely manner while adhering to industry, company and client style guides.
The Editorial Support Specialist ensures that all work is in line with editorial policies and standards.
Copy editing, proofreading, and formatting scientific content, including slide decks, manuscripts, and scientific communications, to congress, journal, and client specifications.
Preparing documents for teams within budgeted timelines.
Assisting teams with preparing journal and congress submissions as required.
Collaborating with teams to achieve common goals.
Requirements
Previous experience in a medical/scientific/regulatory/pharmacovigilance editing role, preferably in a medical communications agency, contract research organisation, medical journal or related industry.
Ability to review, comprehend, and revise complex medical and scientific materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience of incorporating AI solutions into editorial workflows is desirable.
Ability to effectively prioritize projects and manage workload.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong ability to work as part of an effective team.
Flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
