About this role
Role Overview
Provides weekly and monthly analysis for plant performance, including whey yield analysis, production reporting and plant loss reporting
Serve as a trusted business partner on the Gooding leadership team
Work closely with the plant managerial team to provide relevant analytical support, insight, and influence in operations decision making
Responsible for monitoring compliance regarding a range of procedures and internal controls relating to plant activity
Prepare weekly and monthly cost analysis for various areas
Assist with plant inventory control for raw material, ingredients, packaging and finished goods
Assist with plant planning processes, including preparation of variance analysis and commentary
Assist with standardization of reporting and analysis across manufacturing locations
Oversee financial aspects of all plant operations including budgeting and forecasting
Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause
Cross-train with other coworkers, collaborate and share learnings across the team
Responsible for supervision and development of accounting staff
Responsible for capital expenditure project accounting including ROI analysis, project spend vs. plan, and maintaining the site fixed asset registry
Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis and trending as required
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years related experience
CPA, CMA or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to motivate and influence a diverse group of people
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Driven, energetic results oriented individual with the ability to thrive under pressurized conditions
