Oversee, manage, and maintain software applications, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with relevant regulations
Be part of a 5-person team with an on-call rotation, meaning on-call duty is typically every fifth week
Application deployment and maintenance, monitoring and performance optimisation, capacity planning, security, and compliance
Resolving application-related issues, providing technical support to other organisational units, and mentoring junior administrators
Performing performance tuning and optimisation, including root cause analysis in complex environments
Supporting application migration initiatives to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Supporting the adoption of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve operational efficiency, automation, and productivity

Hands-on experience with middleware and application platforms in production environments
Scripting skills to automate operational tasks
Understanding of application and platform security (e.g., TLS, certificates, authentication/authorisation)
Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills, able to analyse distributed systems and identify root causes
Work proficient communication skills in English (written and spoken)
Collaborative mindset and ownership, including supporting colleagues and building trust with stakeholders
Experience with container orchestration platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
Experience with cloud migration initiatives, ideally to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with event streaming or messaging technologies (e.g., Redpanda, Sonic, or similar)
Interest in applying AI tools to improve operational efficiency and automation
